Airport

The Alvarez International Airport in Acapulco connects with the United States, Canada and Europe. Situated 22 km outside Acapulco there are buses that shuttle passengers between the airport and town. Private taxis are not allowed, but of course some "pirates" try; better avoid them. Authorized transportation will cost about US$25 to town or your hotel.
