Ecotourism

Bicycles are available for hire in Santa Cruz and La Crucecita, but only experienced cyclists will able to make it to the other bays, since the distances between them are considerable. Cycling short distances in the evening can be very pleasant, though.

Río Copalita and its surroundings
Going on a horseback or dune buggy ride is a good way to observe the local flora and fauna-much of the forest area is a natural reserve-or some of the bays that are slightly further afield where you can stop for a swim in the crystal-clear waters. Another attraction is the Río Copalita rapids.
