Beach Sun and Water Fun

The seemingly unlimited beach activities that one can choose from are almost as numerous as the 100 mile stretch of coastline where you can enjoy them. You’ll find beaches of all styles, shapes and purpose where there are many independent options that require very little more than carving out the spot where you can play, dive in or just lay back and chill.

Body surfing, boogie boarding, beach and pool volleyball, water aerobics, bobbing through waves or just sunning and sipping seem to be popular favorites. For those who want a bit more equipped action, there are always options like surfing, windsurfing, sailing, jet skiing, ocean kayaking, parasailing, snorkeling and the generally unforgettable bounce of a banana boat ride. Whatever your preference, you are welcome to change it frequently and partake in the sea, sun and sand diversions that are always just steps away.

Fishing
The deep sea fishing offshore of Nayarit is world renown. Two world record catches have been accomplished in the area (blue marlin and wahoo) and a new record sailfish was brought in during the summer ’07 tournament. Deluxe fishing charter vessels are available for those who want to try to challenge the records or just have some great fun. Memories are waiting to be captured and savored!

Whale Watching
Breath deeply and prepare yourself to experience one of the most pleasant tours of your life. You’ll cruise on a boat especially designed for your maximum enjoyment as you head out in search of the awesome migrating humpback whales. This annual winter event is an unforgettable one and many vacationers make it an annual event for themselves!

Snorkeling
The Pacific waters along the coast of Nayarit offer sanctuary to a great profusion of sea life - and snorkeling is a fun-filled experience that your entire family will enjoy! A variety of popular snorkeling trips combine an extraordinary day of sun, fun, and adventure with just the right mixture of entertainment, learning and challenge.

Sailing
Whether you are a first timer, novice or an experienced handler of the “sheets”, there are a wide array of sailing excursions, including a relaxing sunset scenic sail. Take instruction, or a private charter and set sail for the nearby Marieta Islands. Colorful tropical fish, octopus, eels, spotted rays, seahorses, and lobster are all inhabitants. There are also giant Manta Rays and sea turtles that visit this area. Our most popular residents are the Dolphins that inhabit the bay and like to play in the bow waves of the sail boats.

Learn how to use hand signals and positive reinforcement to communicate with dolphins and then wade into a lagoon’s the shallow, clear waters to start your exclusive dolphin swim experience. You will meet and play with dolphins getting to know them and actually giving them hugs, kisses, rubdowns and, ultimately, a one-on-one swim together and exciting belly ride!

Swim with Sea Lions
Sea lions are one of the ocean's most fascinating creatures, and our new educational and entertaining sea lion programs give people of all ages the chance to learn more about these amazing, energetic, and playful marine mammals. These lovable rascals are playful, comical, mischievous, very affectionate and eager to play their games with you!

Scuba Diving
A wide selection of dives and programs from beginner to PADI certification are available. . Don't miss the opportunity to explore the spectacular variety of underwater reefs, rock formations and colorful sea life. You may get lucky and see a humpback whale, giant manta or one of the many other examples of marine life that inhabit the local waters.
