Merida has an average temperature of 26 degrees ferenheit throughout the year. The precipitation in the region is mild during the months of January through March with a greater likelihood of rain fall occurring in April to September, and then leveling off once again. Light ponchos will be the only necessary rain gear you will need. They are small and light and can be purchased just about everywhere you go. The occasional rainfall is welcomed in Merida since it gives a cool refreshment during the hot summer and makes the greenery that much more splendid.
